Mental Health Resource Website for Black Men

“Your wounds are not your weakness, they are your strength. Every scar carries the story of your survival.” – Idowu Koyenikan

In this talk, Dr. Curtis Jasper discusses the mental health industry's shortcomings in addressing the needs of Black men. He highlights the lack of culturally specific, accessible mental health services and how this contributes to ongoing struggles with grief, trauma, and injustice. The talk delves into the reasons behind these persistent issues and explores potential societal solutions to support Black men's mental health more effectively. This presentation was given at an independently organized TEDx event.
